Mid-Range Safari Overview

Accommodation on Mid-range safaris is in Tented Camps and sometimes Lodge.

All your meals are provided by the lodge.

Tented camps are permanent or semi-permanent camps sited in areas of excellent game viewing. Tented camps offer many comforts including king, double or twin beds, crisp linen and ensuite bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot bucket showers or for the adventurous, a shower under the stars in the bush bathroom. Settle into your comfortable deck chair and as the sun sets, you’re left wanting for absolutely nothing and even though you’ll be miles from anywhere, you’ll be amazed at the variety and quality of food on offer, prepared by the Chef in their bush kitchen.

Meals will be enjoyed in the communal mess tent and as night falls and the bush transforms, there is no better place to soak up the atmosphere than at the dining tent followed by a drink by the campfire.

Tented camps are more intimate than lodges as they generally accommodate 12 to 20 guests.

Lodges are full-service facilities with private rooms or cottages with private bathrooms and have restaurants and lounges. Some have swimming pools. Many lodges are architecturally stunning made with local materials and inspired by local designs and the environment.

NOTE:

Because there are so many options, you need not have one tone for your whole trip: we can make a bespoke itinerary for you including more than one style of accommodation.
